Happy Father’s Day to my father in heaven!I would not be who I am now without my parents’ love and support.
My father was an outstanding calligrapher. When I went to visit my parents at Xiamen in 2019, I had some of his work decorated and brought back to USA. Today his artworks are one of most valuable treasures in our home.

Besides calligraphy, my father was also very talented at crafting handmade seals. He engraved our names and one of my college pictures in the little stamp stones.

My father wrote some family memoirs by handwriting. From his memoir I learned about the past of our family, knew the people I never had chance to meet, encouraged by how they survived during all kinds of waves in the police states.

My father passed away in July 27, 2020. I have dearly missed the physical presence of my father in my life, but I know he is always with me.
Dad, I love you and miss you ❤️❤️❤️
A beautiful reflection and art, June! May God rest your sweet father’s soul.

My condolences for the loss of your father, June. It is good that you have some physical things that bring back memories of him, and in particular his Memoir through which he and other members of your family have gained a form of immortality.

Thank you so much 🙏🙏 It is fortunate that I brought his work to USA before the pandemic. Now I will translate his memoirs into English for my daughter and descendants.
