First Two Days in Nice France

It is not easy to have an international trip during COVID time. Right now, France and the United Kingdom both request international travelers to submit a negative COVID testing within 48 hour departure, plus the certification of vaccination if you have.

I went to Nice to visit my daughter who is currently staying in Nice France. Submitted all the paperwork of COVID testing and vaccination before the trip, I spent a day on airplane or airports (Chicago ORD and London LHR) for transferring. The flights were not bad and everything looked beautiful, except, my baggage did not arrive at Nice airport. After submitting the delay/missing baggage form, I called the airline company, knowing my baggage remaining unknown mystery, either in Chicago or London.

Life is still going on without my luggage. Compared to the trip to Paris three years ago, I don’t have ambition plans for this vacation and just try to relax during holiday season.

I will try to walk or run on the Promenade des Anglais every day and enjoy the beautiful sunshine and blue water of French Riviera . The old town of Nice (Vieux Nice, Vieille Ville) is charming with the narrow cobblestone streets and colorful buildings.

French food, how can I not mention it? They are so delicious!! Besides cafe and restaurants, there is a daily market in the old Nice called Cours Saleya. I already purchased a piece of Camembert cheese there. And of course, cannot forget Italian ice cream.

  1. Looks like a great trip! I suppose since you are so used to traveling, you deal well with mishaps. It seems you took the lost luggage far better than most would! The pictures are great. I especially enjoyed that super skinny yellow building. Thanks for sharing these! 🙂
